Remarkably, this koi fish is made up of a mix of five different colors including black, red, white, blue, and purple, making it one of the most colorful varieties of koi fish available. In fact, a direct translation of this koi’s name is “five colors”! While Goshiki koi fish come in several variations, the most common pattern is a white-based koi overlaid with a gray netting pattern, similar to the Asagi koi, with a red pattern resembling the Kohaku koi.

Compared to the Kohaku Hi, which is often glossy red or orange, the Goshiki Hi tends to be thicker, bolder, and more intensely colored.
